Leheria Printing

Leheria printing is a very ancient technique associated with vivid, lively designs. The word “Leheria” literally means “waves” in Hindi. It is a craft from Rajasthan, India, that consists of giving wavy or ripple-like effects on cloth, carefully going through the resist dye process. In this particular technique, every piece will be tied, after which it will undergo dyeing to produce colorful, wave-like patterns that give an effect of fluidity and movement. Leheriya has been employed since time out of mind in several garments like sarees and dupattas to add an element of class and tradition to modern-day attire.
