Sanganeri Printing

Sanganeri printing is an extremely fine textile tradition from Sanganer, located in the state of Rajasthan in India. Finely printed and delicate designs, mostly flower patterns and intricate designs on cotton or silk fabrics done in very bright colors, have immortalized this craft. Detailed designs are prepared on hand-carved wooden blocks, then dipped in dye and pressed onto the fabric, usually cotton or silk. The result is the tapestry of patterns rich in artistic inheritance of the region.
